MindArt Words is a web-based word game offering two categories: "art" and "clothes". Players can choose to begin in either category. At the start of the game, there's an exclamation point icon for accessing the game rules. To win, players need to correctly guess 4 out of 20 words in their chosen category. They have the flexibility to return to the menu to switch categories or change the word by clicking the next button during gameplay.
Typically, one of the clues or hints given to participants in this game is the number of characters in the target word. The objective is to deduce the word accurately based on these hints. When the player correctly guesses all 4 words, they are winners.
THE PROCESS
The objective was to create an engaging game suitable for users of various ages. The initial stages involved sketching and brainstorming ideas. I iterated through different concepts to finalize the game's three user interfaces and illustrations. After completing the design phase, development commenced with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This included implementation and rigorous testing to ensure functionality. The game was designed to be responsive, supporting seamless play across desktop and mobile devices.
